Tortosa is roughly 6 miles from the center of Maricopa. You take Honeycutt Rd straight down and you will see the beautiful Tortosa Community Entrance. This community a large beautiful community. It is home to Santa Cruz Elementary which is Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade. It also houses Desert Winds Middle School. Tortosa was planned to have roughly 2500 lots most of which are full. Tortosa houses are beautiful and this Maricopa, AZ community is much quieter being tucked back off the main road of Maricopa. This is nice for those who want to be close to the city but not right on it.
Within Tortosa you will find 4 parks with playgrounds equipped with slides, swings and tot lots. These parks are scattered throughout the large community which make them accessible to all the residents. Tortosa also offers its residents a basketball court, volleyball court and a disc golf course as well. There is no community pool but Tortosa is very close to Copper Sky Recreational Park which has a large community water park and pool.

Tortosa is a larger community here in Maricopa. It still has space to grow as not all 2500 lots have been filled. Being home to two of Maricopa's schools makes this community one that is very sought after. It has so many different things to do and has two schools. What more could you ask for.
