Desert Cedars is one of Maricopa, AZ smallest communities. It has just over 400 houses within the community. Desert Cedars is located just off the overpass between Desert Cedars Dr and Bowlin Rd. It is a quick walk across Bowlin and you are at Copper Sky Recreational Complex. This complex has a community pool, water park, playgrounds, sports fields, offers classes and so much more. Being close to Copper Sky also makes Desert Cedars close to Ak-Chin and the bowling alley and the High School.
Within the actual subdivision you are greeted with a decent sized playground with grassy areas surrounding it with covered seating. Even though this community is smaller and offers less amenities it is still a beautiful community with options all around it. Being so close to the entertainment center at Ak-chin and Copper Sky makes the houses here more desirable.
There are three large green belt areas scattered throughout Desert Cedars. These are well kept greenbelts that are available for residents to use for picnics, hanging out with family or taking the dog for a walk.
BY both playgrounds you can find a BBQ and picnic area. The tables are covered to help with the sun during the summer months and these picnic areas are well maintained year round. They are great for BBQ's without getting your yard all messy.
There are two larger sized playgrounds in the Desert Cedars community. At the parks you can find slides, a jungle gym and much more. These are great spots to take your kids when you need them to blow off some energy.
In all three greenbelts you can find nice quiet walking paths. They are secluded and beautiful for you to enjoy an early morning walk, evening walk or to use to get some exercise with your dog or kids. They walking paths are open during the same times as the green belts.
Desert Cedars is a smaller community here in Maricopa, AZ. But it is close to a lot of great places that Maricopa offers. Places like CopperSky, the High School, UltraStar multi center and so much more. Being right off of the overpass Desert Cedars is very easy to access and easy to leave when heading to work.
