The Duke Golf Course At Ranch El Dorado

Do you like being able to get out for a relaxing game of golf? Are you wanting to be close to a beautiful golf course that is within 10 minutes aways from you. I highly recommend you check out the Duke Golf Course in Maricopa,AZ. I am not a huge fan of golfing but my fiance loves to golf and having this course so close to us is nice when he needs to get out of the office, wants some practice or even decides to take our daughter to shoot some golf balls. The Duke golf course has so much to offer not only the resident's of Maricopa but others as well.

The Duke golf course is a public golf course located in the beautiful community of Rancho El Dorado in Maricopa, AZ. This gorgeous Championship style golf course is a PAR-72, 18 hole for all you golfers out there. The Duke winds through the entire center part of the Rancho subdivision with sand buffs scattered throughout and passes the front entrance lake.

Also, at the Duke you can find a Golf Pro Shop, putting green, chipping area, driving range and a restaurant. It offers different programs you can sign up for to get discounts for golfing and using the driving range. The Duke Restaurant is a restaurant and bar and is also open to the public, with spots to eat inside during the hot months and enjoy the weather outside the rest of the year.

The Duke has received a few different awards since being open. In 2003 it was ranked number one for “Best New Course You Can Play In Arizona Travel Golf”, 2004 the Duke was ranked number 2 for “Best New Clubhouse in the Country by Golf In Magazine, in 2006 it received two rankings: number 2 “Best Value In Phoenix by Golf Tips Magazine Travel Annual” and number 1 “Player Friendly Course in Phoenix/Scottsdale by Golf Tips Magazine Travel Annual” and then in 2010 the Duke was ranked number 5 for “Best Overall Course in Arizona – Intermediate Price by Avid Golfer Arizona”. As you can see these are very good rankings and it speaks wonders for the course out here in Maricopa, AZ.

You can get a couple different memberships at the Duke. The memberships include Saguaro Club Membership, Gold Card Points Rewards and Practice Plus Program.

The Saguaro Club Membership is a Ply when and where you want membership. This membership is part of the Foothill's Golf Group it starts at $342. It allows member's benefits at all Foothills Golf Group course, practice privileges, shop and restaurant discounts. The Saguaro Club price depends on the category: individual, family/couple, corporate and junior. Some of the benefits of this membership include: unlimited green fees at all 3 course, unlimited range balls, full access to lounge and dining, discount guest fees, 15% off food and beverages, 25% off at the golf pro shop and so much more. The 3 course you are able to play at include the Ahwatukee Country Club, The Duke and The Foothills Golf Club. All 3 course are PAR 72, 18 hole courses.

With the Gold Card Points Reward program you earn points towards FREE golf. Gold card holders can redeem points for free golf that were earned through dollars spent on green fees. You can earn these points and redeem them at any of the 3 Foothills Golf Group courses. For every dollar spent at one of these course you receive one point. It is pretty simple golf more to get a free round. This is a great option for those who like to golf a couple times a week.

The Practice Plus Program is newer. This membership includes unlimited range balls, access to twilight tee times, merchandise discounts, one free practice at each of the four courses monthly and so much more. The Practice membership costs $79 for individuals and $99 for couples and you can add children for $19 each. The practice clinics are at The Duke, Ahwatukee Country Club, Club West Country Club and Foothills Golf Club. This is a great program is you want to increase your skills and get extra practice in.

At the Duke tee times can be as early as 6:44 AM and as late as 5:00 PM depending the time of the year. The Duke also hosts tournaments that can be set up for corporate events, charity or even recreational. The Duke has so much to offer golfers in Maricopa it is amazing. The Duke also has a bar and restaurant that is called the Silver Spur Grill. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Grill is open different times during the summer and winter and open later Friday and Saturday during the summer hours. During the summer Sunday thru Thursday the Grill is open from 7:00AM to 3:00PM and on Friday and Saturday from 7:00AM to 8:00PM and the bar closes at 5:00PM. During the Winter all week long the Grill is open from 7:00AM to 8:00PM and on Fridays you can eat all the Fish Fry you can. The menu has a wide variety of food options for all times of the day. Breakfast you can find omelets, breakfast burritos, pancakes and even biscuits and gravy. Lunch and Dinner has soup, salads, and appetizers. For meals you can get all different kinds of burgers/sandwiches, fish meals, tacos, steak and potatoes and so much more. Also, do not forget the access to a full bar with draft beers, bottled and an assortment of other types of alcohol to enjoy if you choose.
